PRR H30 Hopper
PRR Built 34ft Covered Hopper initially constructed in 1935 to
1958 for cement transport. Also used for soda ash, lime, sand, etc. They
were extremely common prior to the introduction of large covered hoppers
and were regularly used in interchange service. They could be found
anywhere, although mostly in the Northeast. The final scheme was the
Conrail "cracked wheel" scheme. This is a surprisingly easy kit
to build. Etched and cast brass. Includes a full brake system including
the reservoir, actuator and control valve.
